Lake Tahoe Celebrity Golf Championship, an Annual Summer Highlight
It’s time to mark your calendar for July 8-13, 2008 for the exciting Lake Tahoe Celebrity Golf Championship at Edgewood golf course. Some people say it’s one of the “best destination” vacation events to attend. The 19th annual American Century Championship purse for 2008 is awarding $600,000. Over 80 pro athletes and celebrity entertainers will be competing for the prize. All under the spectacular setting of Lake Tahoe and Edgewood golf course located on the South Shore’s of Lake Tahoe. Golf Digest Magazine rated Edgewood as one of “America’s Top Golf Courses”. Over 25,000 fans are expected to attend the 2008 Tahoe Celebrity Golf Week.
Come see famous celebrities such as Ray Romano, Jack Wagner, Dennis Quaid, Kevin Nealon, Brian Baumgartner, just to name a few. You will also see championship athletes the then lead in the eye and top athletes such as Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, John Elway, Dale Jarrett, Jason Kapono, Chuck Liddell, Jim Mora and many more. There will be autograph signing, picture taking, and lots of interaction with fans, along with tons of evening fun and games. It’s not unheard of to see these celebrities and athletes out mingling during the evening hours at the local casinos. You will have lots to talk about when you get home and already be planning your next trip back.
Be sure to book your Lake Tahoe lodging well in advance. For shorter stays you might book one of the South Lake Tahoe casinos such as Harrah’s, Harvey’s, the Lakeside Inn and or the Montbleu. These casinos are within walking distance of Edgewood golf course. If you want to stay for a week you might consider a Lake Tahoe vacation rental.
